Hoover obsession in toddlers

Now i know little ones go through a phase of loving hoovers and the like but Carter is building a very unhealthy obsession with his

He has an upright (not really bothered about it much but will play)
He has a little pull along dyson which i can safely say he is obsessed by - he is asleep with it as we speak (arm around it etc)

We have to avoid comet as he has a major meltdown when we have to leave 'Henry'

he doesnt want to leave nursary as Henrys out and when he arrives in the morning he checks that Henry is in the cleaning cupboard (it has a glass door)
We even had to print out a pic of Henry the other night so that he would stop crying when he came home - he also has another copy of it on the notice board at nursary

Ive seen this which i feel i may have to invest in (or am i fuelling his obsession) oh the woe of being a mum to a 21 month old

DS used to be the same, it has eased off now to some extent but he still loves to get my hoover out and have a whizz round the flat with it!!

Ah bless. Hannah is obssessed with the hoover atm, I have to hoover about 4 times a day to keep her happy. My floor has never been so clean. She hasn't quite got to Carter's stage yet.
