feeling a bit wobbly about leaving DD
I guess I really just need you all to tell me I'm being silly and everything will be fine
Me and DH are flying back to the UK for my grandads funeral (leaving saturday, coming back tuesday), and we have decided not to bring DD (just 2) with us. She is going to stay with DH's parents. She's stayed with them plenty of times and I trust them completely, but I'm beginning to get wobbly about the whole thing.
We've never been out of the country before without her, so before we could always go to her if there was a problem (not that there ever has been), and she's never been away from us for more than 2 nights before (it will be 4 nights this time).
I'm beginning to regret saying DH could come with me, I originally planned to travel by myself but he felt I was too pregnant and needed looking after and he really thought he should come with me.
Deep down I know DD will be fine, so please tell me I'm just over emotional and full of pregnancy hormones

She will be fine! I bet she will have a wail of a time and they will really spoil her
. Besides if there were a problem they will be there to cope and there is always a way to get home in a hurry if you really need to
. Your DH is right and you need some looking after yourself

Awww, first of all, sorry to hear your grandad has passed away

I can imagine how it feels to know she's not coming with you but i'm sure she'll be fine. Your DH coming with you sounds like a very good idea to me

I'd feel the same jamsplat, but she will be absolutely fine, and I think your DH is right - you do need looking after. I'm feeling particularly protective of Leila at the moment, so I think the hormones do have a lot to answer for! Sorry you're having to go through this

Thanks girls
I'm feeling a bit better about it all today, DD helped pack her bag to take with her last night which was really sweet
