My baby is in nursery!
It's his first full day today and as everyone says I am taking it harder than he is!

I am not officially working today but am sat at home doing a bit of catching up before my first day back on Monday and I keep thinking that he's just asleep upstairs but I just went up and he's not there and it started me off again.
He was in such a good mood this morning and when we gave him to the lady at nursery he started to look all confused and worried and I felt awful. He was sitting on the floor looking around a bit perplexed by everything, but not upset iyswim.
I am sure he will be fine and I can go collect him early if I need to but how do you work/ get on with things when you just can't stop thinking about them?

Re: My baby is in nursery!
no advice Hun but lots of
I'm sure it will get easier
ETA: when Matilda started nursery last sept ( tho she was 3) i was upset and instead of imagining that she was upset and needed me i just kept the image of her smile and how she had sat down confidently , the more i imagined her upset the more anxious and upset i was so i pushed it out and just kept telling myself she was smiley and happy when i left and was still smiley and happy now, i also called them and asked how she was. and kept my self busy doing jobs but doing them quick so to keep me busy it was only for 2 1/2 hrs tho not all day but I'm sure if you keep busy and see it as an opportunity to get things done it wont feel as bad, don't be afraid to call them and see how he is

Re: My baby is in nursery!
When DD started (nearly three months ago) the nursery staff said I could phone as many times as I liked to check on her. I made the decision not to phone at all , and strange thought it probably sounds, it really helped. I found I was so busy anyway, and it was easier just to focus on work whilst I was there. I found I was a bit panicky on the way home though, as I couldn't wait to pick her up. It does get much much easier
