    My niece - VPAM

Yep, a very proud auntie moment.

Last night we were doing our secret santa at home - my mum, dad, sisters and brother all putting our lists in a hat and pulling out a name.
My niece (5) said she wanted to get involved too and we told her that she couldn't because she was getting presents from everyone and there was no need.
She got very upset, and ran off and wrote her "list" anyway- coming back and demanding we included her.
My mum told her no, she could buy Joseph a present if she wanted, and then she ran off again.
At this stage we were all doing our "that child is spoiled" bit again, and my sister went after her to talk her round.
    "What's up?" my sister asked.
Amid sobs and snotters, my niece said she couldn't say.
"Go on, you can tell me," my sister pleaded.
"No, auntie YaYa, I can't," Abby replied and cried some more.
After much persuasion she revealed the reason she was so upset was because on her list she had written just one thing - a present for her auntie YaYa, something we had spotted and knew Yaya would like, and Abby wanted to make sure she got it.

So I'll be taking Abby and J to buy it tomorrow as a present from them, because my sister does spoil them rotten. But I was so, so, so proud of her.
    Mum, writer, occasional nutcase.
