On my left ankle I have flat red blotches, not itchy or painful. This has recently 'spread'

GP today says my original skin thing might be a reactive inflammatory response (think those were the words???) He's not 100% because the skin is all flared up from the previously prescribed cream, so I have to go back in a few weeks. This is after me dropping a saucepan of boiling water on my foot a few years ago Apparantly the blotches have their own blood supply I bet you'd all love to meet me and my manky foot!

He was making noises about having to see a specialist but has anyone got any experience of this, if you can work out what I am actually wittering about!
