Do chickenpox spots always start on the abdomen?
I've just been reading about chickenpox and everything I've read seems to indicate that the spots will start on the abdomen and face and then spread.
A has quite a few blister type spots on her feet and legs and some around her bum and I thought they looked suspiciously like the start of chickenpox but now I'm questioning it because her abdomen is clear (at the moment).
Any ideas?

yeah it does, but I think you can get spots anywhere really.
Here's what NHS direct says

ETA, I find it amusing that they keep mentioning that adults get much milder symptoms than children because DH had it and was so so ill.

Poor Amelie, but at least she'll get it out of the way, as I think it's worse the older you are.

Re: Do chickenpox spots always start on the abdomen?
Niamh's got chickenpox now, I noticed the first spot near her collarbone and another one on her side and they were really tiny blisters to start with. She's hardly got any on her legs/feet/arms/hands - they're really all on her torso, neck, face and 'bits'.
(They seem to just be on the hottest parts of her body?)

Alex's first spot was on his arm, spread like wildfire after that though.
