Now its cold, what are your LO's wearing?
I can get Emma to wear skirts & tights, leggings & sweats (
), she has got thick tights but I worry her little legs get cold.
She won't wear jeans or cords (or anything with a button on
) any suggestions for things to keep her legs warm or are leggings ok?
Thanks

Lucy has a couple of pairs of cord bootlegs from Tesco, they've got a thick elastic wasitband with a drawstring (they kind of look like maternity trews iyswim) but they can look smarter with boots and a longer top covering the waistband up iyswim and no buttons.
Can't help otherwise as today Lucy was wearing a pair of cords with about 20 giant buttons in different colours sewn to them
Emma would have gone
with them

dungarees? or the buttons still an issue with that. I like the leggings and legwarmers idea though

Thanks for the suggestions.
Daisy May I don't think she'd manage the toilet if I found any dungarees without buttons.

seriously atm I am thinking of phoning the mental health team she is getting so bad, I really feel for her as she has a "proper" panic response to them, trembling
. I bought her a load of clothes and told her when I picked her up from nursery, most little girls would be excited but she looked all serious and said "not with buttons on mummy?"
. I was dressing Holly and Emma said "she's not wearing that is she? its got buttons" and I said "buttons are our friends" and Emma replied "no, poppers are our friends". I'm going to leave the button thing til January though.

Aah bless her, I think buttons are a recognised 'thing' to be scared off actually.
I like the legging and legwarmers idea actually
Dan is a boy and will wear trousers (luckily!) so can't be much help I am afraid

woolly jumper dresses, thick tights and long-ish boots plus a very warm snuggly coat and mittens and hat (if she's feeling ambivalent enough to tolerate them
)

Re: Now its cold, what are your LO's wearing?
I've seen some gorgeous jumper dresses in debenhams & next but sadly they have buttons on them. Honestly I don't talk about the button thing in front of her but it's taking over our lives. Must remain zen about it!
She has got a lovely non-button gilet that looks wicked with her gold cowboy boots and fortunately she loves her dora wooly hat!
BG - do boys just not care what they wear then?!

Re: Now its cold, what are your LO's wearing?
What is Laura wearing now the weather is colder? Erm, exactly the same as she's been wearing all summer - right down to sleeveless tops and shorts
The child seriously does not seem to feel the cold
. She will concede to wearing tights with skirts (she won't wear trousers, of any kind
) but that's only because I made a big deal of buying some 'funky' ones from Primark.
Adam is in trousers of various random kinds, poppered vest and long-sleeved cotton top over the top.
to go to first goal
