    Absolutely...... !!!

I am really really loving my friends lounge (ok not bedroom but you can get the feel).

I took this pic a few weeks ago of it as I liked the wellies in it but anyway, before I go on and on and on, in it are Leila's wellies that I'd just taken off so you could always add a touch of soft colour, as an accent. I think it would work

Imagine that with a black wrought iron double bed, black tiffany lamps (or tiffany-esque!)......I know she has grey in there but it could be a slight twist on just plain ole black and white....??

Have a look at some art deco bits and pieces for inspiration

Next have some lovely black and white bits just now for bedrooms and I think maybe a splash of red (lamps and a few scatter cushions for example) would really help to set it off.

This is my guest bedroom & I think it looks good. You can get fabulous black & white wallpapers now. Maybe a feature wall behind your bed? Perhaps black & off-white would take the edge off slightly?

You can accessorize with dramatic black chandelier type lights & lamps, ornate photo frames & flowery bedspread to put your feminine touch to it.

Great idea, esp the wallpaper as a feature wall and the chandalier type lights and lamps - definitely girly touches

I would steer away from red - i'm really not keen when its teamed with black and white sorry Clam

I love both of these wallpapers. I took samples from Homebase & made them into a picture!

personally i think the tone or accent colour needs to be soft - hot pink is too 'hard' for want of a better word. too icy, not warm enough iyswim...

    but thats only my opinion

Thanks- it is still a bit bare atm but I keep picking up little bits to accessorize it. I would love to do the feature wall thing but a) its not ours & b) I would need to strip the horrid woodchip which is a nightmare!
