Quick update, my eyes again

Hiya

Just a keep update from me..sorry I have not had time to reply to other posts, am in library and you only get a short time before being kicked off (computer still not fixed)

Anyway, went on Friday to have my check up on my diabetic retinopathy and macula oedma and rather than it being a quick in , out nothing has changed appointment, turned out in just 2 weeks my stupid eyes have haemoredged (I really cannot spell without spell check

) loads again and even has started to grow new dangerous blood vessels to compensate and these are wrong and useless and just cause total blindness if not caught

So was back into the laser room for me, another 2500 burns. Today I can just about see enough to come to the library and type this and try and do a few bits

The worst part was the doctor who is normally nice was a right git and kept raising his voice at me because I apparently kept moving during the lasering..it's hard not to move my eyes about when I cannot see anything as stuff in shoved in my eyes

He really made me cry. When I came out a really really nice recptionist was so sweet to me...now I knew someone here said they worked at that clinic and I wondered if it was them. but I was worried I would've looked very silly if not

Anyway, the pregnancy is being revied next week to see if they want to bring section forward. The eye doctor said he hopes this lasering will stop my eyes doing anything else til after pregnancy, my obstetrician is thinking what to do.
I don't know what I think really. I hope I can keep going til 37 weeks

sorry things are so bad for you. Its me that works at that clinic (obv on mat leave though

) I know that dr can be a bit harsh and non-empathic, but he really is very good and you are in good hands. I think I know who the receptionist is, and she's a good friend of mine, I'm glad she was nice to you.

Honey I really hope that the lazering will stop things in their tracks now and you won't have to keep worrying about this and that bubs can come out safely at 37wks

Hope you sren't feeling too down honey, and that you are't too upset by the dr. I can see it must be frustrating for him, but I'm guessing he has never tried tokeep still while having the procedures done, so probably doesn't get it at all.

Fingers crossed things will stabilise a bit for you xx

Was only thinking about you this morning....bugger about the eyes but keeping fingers crossed that that gorgeous little girl can hang in there for a bit longer.

What an arse the doctor was - no need for that. He must understand how uncomfortable and scary it must be for you
