Question: 1st period after giving birth?
I remember after having Mia I got it six weeks later and it was very very heavy.
I haven't totally stopped bleeding after the birth but it was really light, it got heavier last weekend and I thought it must be my period but it's still very light and not red
is this normal, is this my period?
Anyone know?

My lochia went on much longer this time and was stop start towards the end which was

It stopped just after 5 weeks but then last week I had a day of heavier red bleeding but then it all stopped again.

Re: Question: 1st period after giving birth?
It could be the end of the lochia or your body gearing up for a period. I feel for you as I recently had my first period too. I had lots of darkish spotting for about a week and then a scarily heavy period to the extent that I was soaking through to my clothes within about an hour, changing and then the same thing happening again. Thankfully it didn't last long like that but it was scary! Hope your body sorts itself out soon. I hope you are all getting on well at home, I love the names of your twins!

Re: Question: 1st period after giving birth?
I think I had the lochia for about 5 to 6 weeks, and then a gap of about 3 months until I had a period with H, and about 10 months with J (I breastfed).
I think it could be one or the other, so just go with the flow (so to speak
)
