Sometimes you just fall off the wagon...
I know that I was morbidly obese bacause of my addiction to chocolate
and you know what....
...today I fell off the wagon onto a vat of the stuff. So I will have to keep to my new healthy eating habits for the rest of the week - one day at a time in order to pull it back .
I do feel dissapointed in myself but I will draw on all my strength to get back on track. It really does feel like an addiction, I can't just have one peice I have to eat the whole lot, it is awful, it just felt like it took over
.

You've done so, so well Skylark. One bad day doesn't undo all the fantastic work you've already done. Just try to get yourself back on track this week and you'll be fine. I'm like you, I find it very hard to eat chocolate sensibly so if I'm trying to lose weight I just don't have any in the house, then I'm not tempted.

yea noddy, My OH got some thinking I would be fine and before he blinked I had inhaled the lot. I have asked him to stick to the no chocolate in the house rule until I think I am ready and clearly it is not yet.

Re: Sometimes you just fall off the wagon...
Someone told me this once and its very true..
Think of a week as a bunch of flowers, just because one rose dies, you don't throw the whole bunch away. Just take it out and you still have a beautiful bouquet (sp?)
Take today away, forget about it and you still have the rest of the week to eat healthy.

Hey! Don't be too hard on yourself - you've done so INCREDIBLY well, and give yourself a big pat on the back for recognising what happened today and why it happened AND for the fact that you're already talking about making plans for future (ie no choc in house for the time being etc). I'm sure that if that had happened a few months ago you'd not have batted an eyelid, or made excuses etc so well done you

Don't be too hard on yourself - your weight loss is a fantastic achievement and one bay day with the chocolate isn't going to ruin it
I do what WTG does - NO chocolate in the house at all, and one small bar a week as a treat so I don't feel like I'm depriving myself too much (usually one of the Dairy Milk 99 calories ones or a small bar of Green & Blacks). My chocolate cravings are far more under control than they've ever been so it must be working for me.Jedi Boy is 6, the Little Princess is 3....

Im afraid im going to go so far as to say, cut out chocolate full stop.
I haven't eaten the stuff for over two years and don't miss it, and i was a massive chocoholic before! Some food items are not made to satiate you after one bite. They are crammed full of carbs, sugar and fat so your body explodes with delight and then demand you eat more and more.
If you recognise that you fall into the group of this kind of person, then in my mind you will never be ready to eat chocolate in moderation. So make it a no go area and its a weight off yr mind
