how much time do you spend with your partner?
Hi I'm just wondering how much time people generally spend with their partners? I'm going through some problems just now and we spend virtually no time together at all (except when we're in bed sleeping)
I'd say on average we spend about 30min-1hr a day weekdays and maybe 2hrs a day at the weekend. It's even worse just now with the footy on as if I'm in the room when he's watching it I'm in the way and he can't smoke!
thanks

Hmmmm not a lot to be honest only weekends really
In the week he works and collects and im always on here unless watching something on TV he goes to bed way b4 me so is always asleep when i hit the sack
On the wkends i like to go fodd shopping without alfie and do things in town i need to do without taking alfie so il do that
We have said though that every wkend we should do something as a fmaily, weather it be a day out or swimming or something
We dont spend enough time together

OH works abroad on the other side of the planet on a 3 years contract so LO and I go there once a year for 6 weeks and he comes for 4...that makes it 10 weeks a year..One year has already gone so we still have 20 weeks tog for the next 2 years...You would think it s bliss happiness when we meet but we still manage to get on each other nerves a little

Agree Sonriendo, it difficult to reajust to the situation..
I live like a single mum and suddenly one day, there s a man sleeping in my bed, telling off my child and worse of all using MY bank card (well his really, but it SO feels like mine!)Last edited by Soreya; 23-06-2006 at 02:51pm.

Re: how much time do you spend with your partner?
We run our own business, so we see each other nearly all the time during the day. In the evening, he plays with his toys, sorry i should have said he fixes his cars or other peoples cars etc etc and i eat chocolate.
We do however make sure that if either of us has a problem, which is normally me, then we sit and talk it through.
We've been together such along time though, that we seem to instinctively know when we are spending too much or too little good time together and then change it without even thinking about it IYKWIM.

Oh Soreya, it's
innit. Mine is home in July for 3 weeks and then back for 6 or 7 weeks, got to sort out the 183 days away for tax thingy and then he has informed me he will be home for 6 months!!! First week will be lovely
, but we are going to have to get some HOUSE RULES sorted for the remainder. He will be driving me
. Once he has been home for a while tho we sort of settle down to a routine and then I really miss him when he's gone. Funny old life it is.

Oh gets back at about 8pm most nights, and we spend the evening together. At weekends we are together all day and evening (with time off for lie ins and sometimes shopping).

Re: how much time do you spend with your partner?
My Dh works permanent 2-10, so I speak to him for about 10 mins when he gets in from work. He works every other Saturday 10-6.
Weekends is usually taken up with Ellis, I take him to a class on a Saturday morn, then to my mums, getting home early afternoon.
My dh is not that family orinetated, it has got into a pattern recently of him sitting in front of the tv whilst I run around after Ellis. Which is becoming a bug bear and causing far too many rows.

Re: how much time do you spend with your partner?
During the week we probably spend about 3 evenings together (well, in the same room in any case, he's often working on his laptop).
At the weekend we usually spend most of our time together, apart from maybe a few hours when one of us will go off to do our own thing.
