    Big boy "pamps"

I took Joseph out yesterday and bought nine pairs of pants. (He calls them pamps). We got Bob the Builder, Noddy and Thomas. (Joseph really wants Fifi pants... )

He wanted to put them on and has started taking his own nappy off and telling us after he has pooped.
But he has NO inclination to sit on his potty.

I know we should give him time but I'm starting to think he will be in nappies forever.

Don't worry Lola. J is still in nappies and we only got him cheap pamps the other day.
There's plenty of time. There are no rules and set timetable about these milestones.
I have a friend who has only just potty trained her son and he is nearly a year older than Joseph. It will happen when he is ready. Try not to stress and compare with other children his age. Easy said I know. But it will come in time.

cali refuses to sit on the potty, but will sit up on the real toilet with one of those 'booster' type seats.
I think mainly so he can pull the loo roll out . I've given up on the potty for now.

Yes, the Baby Bjorn seats are fab and with a step can be easier to use for kids not wanting to use a potty

Lola my little boy is the same age as Joseph and also not interested at all in using a potty (or sitting on the loo). I saw a list of criteria for whether toddlers are ready on babycentre and he meets all of them except he won't actually get on the potty. Frustrating but there's nowt you can do, jsut got to wait.
