HV Coming this morning

It is Josephs 18 month check, I cant even remember what they did on this with Tash.

Im trying to think of how he has developed, what I can tell her etc, but my mind it mush.

Im going to mention my panic attacks too, see if she can suggest anything to help.

Well my lovely HV has just gone.

Josephs development was absolutely fine - he did building blocks, jigsaw, fed the dolly, colouring etc - and all was fine.

The only thing she was concerned about was his height. Iv always known he is a short house, is 19mths and still wearing 6-9 mth trousers. She measured him and he measured 72cm. He wasnt even on the chart

She said the average for his age is around 82cm.

She wants me to take him into the clinic next week and be measued again as she only used a basic tape measure.

Re: me. She wasnt overly concerned about my panic attacks. But did say to keep an eye on the frequency of them, and to see my GP should I feeling Im slipping again. She said I am still bound to have blips, so not to worry too much.

at people having 18 month and 2 year checks, Lucy hasn't seen a HV properly since she was 8 months

Jo wont have a 2 year check. Thats him done now, unless I want him to be seen for any reason.

But Lucy hasn't had a check since she was 8 months old and she's 3 in in 5 months

Glad it was positive. And don't worry about his height, I have a tall baby but with very short legs; on the 90th centile for height, but also still wears 6-9 trousers!

PF, is there any mention of any more checks in your red book? I know some areas expect you to make the appointment, whereas some get in touch with you.
