Do you expect to pay for a toddler at a buffet?
If you go to an 'all you can eat' buffet with a toddler would you normally expect to pay for them? Ryan hardly eats anything, if we're going out for a meal I don't buy him a meal I just chuck him a few bits off of our plates. Tonight we were at a chinese buffet and had to pay for him as well as DD but neither of the kids are big eaters so between them they probably ate less than 1 'average' child does hence it costs us more to go to a buffet than just to eat from a normal menu

My Mum was a bit
'I can't believe we've had to pay for him to have a slice of bread & butter and a scoop of ice cream' Just wondering what the norm is across the country? (We don't normally have to pay for him in Pizza Hut

I'm sorry but no!
Well I guess it depends on how old the child was.
Under 5 no!
Over 5, half price I'd say

Under three, probably not. Everything seems to change when they hit 3!

Re: Do you expect to pay for a toddler at a buffet?
He is 3 (but is small so looks younger), the kids price was £2.20 cheaper than the adult price. It means that we probably wont go back there if we've got the kids with us, it cost us about £10 for the 2 of them (inc a drink for DD, had taken Ryan's cup with us) whereas we would normally be about £4-ish for 1 kids meal inc drink & Ryan would share a bit off everyone's
I suppose it's not that much money mind you - more the principal!

No I don't expect to. As you say, Pizza Hut have always been fine with us not paying, when ours were little, they even used to bring us a spare plate for the little one to have food off our plates. I'd definitely say 4 and over for buffets.
