Diet Coke and Coke Zero - what is the difference?
We bought some Diet Coke and Coke Zero on our Tesco online shop. Yesterday I was drinking the Coke Zero. I normally drink regular Coke so this tasted completely different. Now today I've been drinking the Diet Coke and I cannot figure out what the difference is?! Is it just me??

It's for men. Men can't possibly be seen drinking a can of diet coke, but coke zero is more masculine.

Re: Diet Coke and Coke Zero - what is the difference?
I 'think' Diet Coke has something like 1 calorie in it whilst Coke Zero has erm 'zero' BUT the only real difference is that all these 'zero' drinks have been bought out to appeal to the male market. Men are now supposed to be all into wanting to watch their figures etc but won't buy 'Diet' drinks and Diet Coke's very much been marketed as a woman's drink (think of all the ads for Diet Coke Breaks with naked men etc) so they needed a different brand for men.
Or something like that

Didn't the ads show men doing all sorts of rugged masculine things like climbing and jumping out of planes? Basically drinking coke zero gives men the same powers women get from wearing tampax

I suspect the level of artificial sweetners is higher as well. DH always says that diet coke "tastes of nothing" which is something women will put up with in the cause of weight loss, but men won't.

So is that why my DH wanted the Coke Zero while I wanted the Diet Coke?

Re: Diet Coke and Coke Zero - what is the difference?
There is no difference in taste they did it for blokes apparently so they didnt feel stoopid carrying a diet drink around with them

Re: Diet Coke and Coke Zero - what is the difference?
Same reasoning as what was behind Pepsi Max.
Although I can taste the difference - the difference being zero is minging and diet isnt.

Coke Zero tastes weird, and much worse than diet coke..

The whole ad campaign was aimed at men! I think they are basically the same though!
