Re: What's cookin? Week commencing 09/07
I haven't had them before but they just looked soooo nice, and it looks like a dead easy recipe. Here it is -
TUNA MELT POTATO WEDGES
Serves 4
750g frozen potato wedges (we used McCain Salt & Pepper)
4 tbsp mayonnaise
1 shallot or 1/2 small onion, very finely chopped
100g grated cheddar or gruyere
2 x 160g cans tuna steaks in spring water, drained
bunch parsley, chopped
1. Heat oven to 220C/fan 200C/gas 6. Tip the potato wedges onto a large baking sheet, ensuring they sit in a single layer. Bake for 10 mins. Meanwhile, mix together the mayonnaise, shallot or onion, cheese, tuna and parsley.
2. Tip the potato wedges into four individual or one large heatproof serving dish and spoon over the tuna mixture. Pop back in the oven for a further 12 mins, until bubbling.

Weds - Katkinn again - Pork with apple creme fraiche, new potatoes
Thurs - pasta (pea and lemon)
Friday - Tuna steaks and spicy noodles (we had it last week too

MMM, they turned out to be kebabs made from sea bass, cherry tomatoes, onion and orange peppers. He just stuck them on the griddle pan. We had them with salad leaves, coleslaw and some left over baguette from yesterday. Mmmmm.

DQ at least I'm not the only uninspired one this week.
Already had our first change, DH couldn't get any chillis from the shop so we had chicken curry instead of chicken noodles
