I love salad sometimes as its so fresh and tasty and easy for lunch but it never ever fills me up.

Today, I had lettuce, 1/3 tin of chickpeas warmed through, three good handfulls of beansprouts, five little potatoes (hot), some chopped pepper, a slice of cheese and some salsa and just an hour and a half later I'm sooo hungry. Its not even in my head, I feel fully satisfied, its my actual tummy which is aching and rumbling from apparent starvation.

I'm sure if I'd made the same exact same ingredients into chickpea burgers with cheese in, fried little potatoes and a side salad I'd be full, but those ingredients as a salad I'm just not.

SO... how DO you get full from a salad?

Am off out now to buy some crisps...
