    crumble...

...what flavour filling do you like the best?

i'm taking dessert for a sunday roast a friend is making and can't decide what to put in it.

also, does anyone make the topping in a food processor?

I lurve rhubarb, which would be out of season for you :(.

But reckon you can't beat apple with some cinnamon and mixed spice in the topping.

I also put rolled oats in my topping - does anyone else? I really love the texture it gives.

Apricot, peach and any other stone fruit is luscious too.

Apricot crumble is my fav; delish!

I put oats sometimes in my topping too, or toasted nuts.

I do the oat thing too. reckon it's just as easy to use your hands to make the crumble Bisy - by the time you've faffed around getting the food processer out/set up etc.

    enjoy!

I like Apple and cinnamon but love pear and cinnamon. I use my hands to make the topping plus I add oats and nuts sometimes with a sprinkle of cinnamon!

oooh dilemma dilemma! was going to do apricot (how lush is that!) but couldn't find them in the shops grrrrrr.

so it might have to be something a bit less exotic. can't remember seeing rhubarb either - you'd wouldn't think it was that hard would you??!!

might have to try adding oats as well then, does it make it more crunchy or something?

bookie i would normally do it by hand but i really hate the feel of that kind of thing on my fingers and under my nails not sure why, it just freaks me out so i thought it might be a good excuse to try our new food processor out

not as bad as bread soaked in water, which when I feed to the birds in the morning DH makes me crumble up with my hands.... I hate soggy bread at the best of times but this makes me feel really

cooking should be a pleasurable experience hun - so get your food processer out then!
