Thinking of moving bedrooms
Our house was laid out very oddly upstairs. The master bedroom with the en suite is smaller then the spare room at the front of the house. The box room is fine and that is where OH's son sleeps when he stays with us.
In the master bedroom we have some built in wardrobes but there is no room for a chest of drawers which I find really annoying. The spare room is MUCH bigger and would fit two chest of drawers as well as a wardrobe. It currently has a double bed, chest of drawers and our computer in it. We were toying with the idea of moving into the spare room as its much bigger but I will miss having the en suite. The main bathroom is right across the landing from the spare room so its not like its miles away! Its just so handy having an en suite. We would also have to move the computer into the master bedroom which means squishing a double bed up against the wall as its a small room. We have guests staying quite a lot so it would be nice for them to have their own bathroom.
What would you prefer? Bigger bedroom or a small one but with an en suite?
Here is two pics so you have an idea of the size. BOTH rooms need to be done up badly
Master bedroom (en suite is to the right of the bed but you can't see it in this pic. Built in wardrobes are on the left)

Spare bedroom (There is built in wardrobes to the right as well as a chest of drawers.)

Re: Thinking of moving bedrooms
What about having the bigger room as a boudior-type bedroom and the smaller one as a dressing room with the ensuite?
TBH I hate ensuites, I have no desire to pee in my bedroom
so am a bit biased, but I'd LOVE a dressing room. So, I'd get rid of the double bed, get a sofa bed for the smaller room, plus a gorgeous dressing table, and move all my clothes, hairdrying stuff, makeup etc in there.
Then I would move the pc into the built-in wardrobe in the main bedroom so it can be shut away when not in use.

Oooh I like donna's idea....plus if you get a sofa that turns into a bed it's ideal for any guests!
