    Oh the sacrifices

Well we have had a lot of trouble with Ellis and his sleeping in his own room since the beginning of January, it was a daily battle with him.

He basically decided he hated his room and wanted to be in mummy and daddys bed.

Sooooo last Friday I decided to try another tactic, and that was put him straight into our bed and DH and I go and sleep in spare room on futon. Well this has worked, which means that we have lost our comfy bed

So now we have to invest in a new bed, cos the futon is rock hard and makes dhs snoring 20 times worse

I have spent this afternoon making our new room more comfortable and feel more like a room.

I just pray Ellis does not change his mind now.

Am I mad for doing this??? I think it is a samll sacrifice to get my boy sleeping properly again.

If you are mad then so am I. I would probably saw my own head off (actually that would defeat the object but you get my point) for sleep. Currently more often than not S ends up in bed with me and DH slouches off and sleeps on a mattress in the corridor (the spare room is full of boxes). S then occupies most of the bed and I end up scrunched up in about 5cm but I would rather that than spend hours not sleeping.

Mind you at E's age I have found them to be open to bribery - I went through a spate of paying Ella 2p not to wake up (she is fine at the mo') so would have probably tried that....but if it is working then - hey worth it.

    Totally mad IMO .

There's NO WAY I'd give up my bed for one of my kids
