Got into a rut again
I've lost all motivation to get things done - can't be bothered doing housework and there's a long list of things that need doing ie clearing out the garage, sorting out the loft, putting the doors on our new wardrobes that have been built for weeks now, cleaning the living room carpet, redecorating DS's bedroom and many more!
I've just been sitting on the laptop wasting time instead of getting on with things
Like now - i'm meant to be getting ready so I can nip to the shops to buy my Mum's Mothers Day pressie but I'm on here instead
I think it's more of a general 'fed up with life and can't be @rsed any more' type thing. I don't have any reason to tidy the house, haven't had friends over at the weekend for months so no one will see if the house is messy. The only time we really see friends these days is at the LO's birthday parties, of which we have one to go to next weekend. TBH I really can't be bothered having friends over - we only really have 2 couples we regularly had over and I know if they come over DH will spend the night talking business with the blokes. He now has business connections with one of them, and the other is a mechanic so they end up talking vans all night

I feel all that I do every night is sit at home bored. I want to start going to the gym or fitness classes a couple of nights a week but I can never guarantee that DH will be home in time to watch the kids so haven't got round to starting anything yet.
How do you break the monotony (sp?)? And find some motivation to do it?

Re: Got into a rut again
sorry you're feeling like this - just a quickie as we're off on our travels but a couple of ideas -
how about having something at your place, like a book club, or jewellery party, or clothes swapping evening or anything to get people round so that you don't have to go out if your oh isn't reliable?
fitness wise, maybe get yourself a skipping rope or some weights and do it in front of the tv when the kids are in bed.
is there a crafty project or something you fancy doing that could be your time in the evening once the kids have gone to bed?
are there any local damsels you could invite round for an after the kids bed time social?
it is hard to get going but you just have to give yourself a small objective and get stuck in.
good luck
