Just been asked to be an executor
My FIL has just rung and told me he is putting a new will together, and has been told by his solicitor that its best to have 2 executors so has asked if DH and I will do it.
I've never had to agree to anything quite so serious before
. I'm very touched he has asked though.
Basically the intention is that he and his wife will sign everything over to us, and in the event that one dies the other will have to run anything past us (like if they want to sell the house). DH and I will be the sole beneficiarys (sp?) when the time comes.
I hate to think of either of them passing away, but I'm so flattered that as a non blood relation they have entrusted this to me.
Lets hope its a long time before we have to deal with it all.
Have any of you had to do this? Is there anything we should know?'We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing'
