    What a disappointment

I've done a Jamie Oliver recipe tonight, from Jamie's Italy - Linguine Carbonara de Salsicchia (Sausage Carbonara to me and you ).

I've been looking forward to it all day, and it wasn't that nice , and it's NOT even that I messed it up, because I followed the recipe to the letter.

    Ah well, I tried .

Oh no, I hate it when that happens. Hope you had something tasty for pudding to make up for it!

I can highly highly recommend his salsicce con lenticchie (sausages and lentils ) from the same book though.

Haven't done anything else from there mind - there's a salad that I keep meaning to do actually.

I'd recommend the aubergine parmigiana from that book and the lemon sherbert

The pizza recipe is pretty failsafe too.

Sorry to hear the carbonara wasn't very nice though !

I have got that in my mental list of 'things to cook soon' . Should I follow JO's recipe, or do the Minky adapted one??

There is a Prawn and Rocket LInguine recipe that I'm going to do soon too.

I personally prefer the JO one

They are quite different so you could do both and see which you prefer?!

I don't think the book's that great really, do you??

It feels like there a lot of very specialised ingredients in it - HUnters Stew springs to mind.
