    . He's getting worse!!!

Alfies behaviour is getting worse and worse and its really stressing me and dean out!!!!!!!

Dean said this morning that he is getting naughtier and naughtier and i dont know why, he is actually turning into one of those horrible little boys the ones that i saw when i was pregnant and vowed tbat my little man would never be like

I have lost my temper with him so many times and this morning i was ready to throw him out the window i really was id had enough and so had dean

The constant winghing and wining for no reason, the constant tantrums for just being told no or not getting his own watyy, this morning he was told off and lhe was rolling round on the floor for about 8 mins, throwing a paddy and headbutting the floor

We try to ignore him but its hard so i have been putting him in his room for 1 min and it seems to work for a little while but as soon as he doesnt get his own way he starts again

Hes also becomming more of a nightmare to get in his car seat me and dean stood for 5 mins batteling with him to get him in he is so strong its un real!!!

I really dont no how much more i can take off him, i think i need Jo Frost is that her name, that super Nanny lady or alfie needs to go into "little house or tearaways" (is that what its called?? i really feel like i need help and guidance with sorting him out

If you feel the that putting him in his room for 1 min is working then do it everytime. You must follow it through as then he will learn that it happens every time.

When he comes out he gives you a cuddle and then he gets lots of attention.

You have to go big style on the praiseing the good behaviour and ignoreing the bad behaviour.

There is lots of websites on toddlers behaviour, have a search and get a good book. Suppernanny book/tonya book

    http://www.supernanny.net/

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/tv/tin...ys/index.shtml has factsheets

Just do alot of reading up and follow through everything you do and dean must do the same.

    Re: He's getting worse!!!

The way we get round the car seat thing is to let her climb in herself. We tell her to show us what a grown up girl she is & climb in, and she does!

It's a shame when the get like this. Unfortunatly, its something a lot of toddlers get like between 18 months and 2. I don't know the answer, but I do know that Elena isn't as bad now as she was a few months ago. Hopefully it's a bit of a phase and he'll grow out of it.

I do tend to find trying to anicipate the bad behaviour and diverting her attention works quite well.

    Good luck!

CH it is a toddler thing.

Ellis has his days where he is a total nightmare and we use the nuaghty step as a way of controlling him.

Definitely sounds like normal toddler behaviour as Claire can be very similar. Very hard to deal with sometimes I agree.

As Steph says make sure you do the 1 minute in his room thing keep doing it everytime you say you are going to. As it seems to work I would maybe stick with this everytime he has a paddy when told no.

The climbing in to car seat idea from scatterbrain is a good one and one we use now. Claire is much better now she can climb in herself.

Its hard work this toddler stuff...
