    What could I give...

the older kids who will be at Leah's 18 month party? The wee ones will all get helium balloons, but there will also be

    1 x 2.5 yrs
    1 x 3 yrs
    3 x 4 years
    1 x 5 years
    1 x 6 yrs
    1 x 7 years

I wanted to avoid party bags completely by just doing helium balloons, but now I have older kids to think about too. Is there anything that spans such a vast age range apart from sweets?

Hmm probably crap suggestion but what about 'bubbles' of some description?
Are you having the party outside? If so, they might be good fun for them all, possibly?I have a 7yr old cousin and I'm sure he'd like bubbles! Would need supervision though.

Hopefully someone will come along with a useful suggestion soon

For tobys party there were quite a few older kids, I found mini tubs of play doh in woolies, also I put ballons in, bubbles, lots of sweeties, mini pringles, little mazes.

    Bouncy balls?

    What about puzzle books?

    A soft toy?

I think that balloons (espiacially helium ones) bridge all ages - I would LOVE one!

Otherwise how about books? Obviously different ones for different ages but you should be able to get them cheaply at bookwork or the likes.

I did think about books but I was being really lazy and thought I don't want to have to pick out individual ones for each kid! I want them all to have the same thing, so I can just go and buy 8 things the same. It's not an easy question, is it!

helium balloons are good for all ages but if not packets of plasticine - hours of fun (even at my age!!) and cheap
