Can I give calpol and medised at the same time?

    Title says it all really.

Ellie's laying on the sofa holding her tummy, screaming and being sick.

The Dr is on his way round but can I give her some calpol on top of the medised she's already has as the medised doesn't seem to be cutting the mustard?

Both contain paracetamol so you can't really give them together. How long since she had the medised? If it's at least 4 hours then you can but less than that and I'd leave it for now.
You CAN give her some children's ibuprofen if you have that though as paracetamol and ibuprofen are totally different

    Thanks.

She had the medised about 45 mins/hour ago now and had the max dose.

    Will try nurofen

no (both are paracetamol based) - but you can give either in conjunction with neurofen - best to space out by 2 hours for maximum effect. However in this case I'd probably give it now.

Hope the doc has some answers and E feels better soon.

    Phew...she's asleep at last

This is getting a bit worrying now, we have this a couple of times a month so there must be something awry in there
