Anyone have a ready bed?
I was thinking of getting one or two of these for visitors, but have noticed they are £34 each in the GLTC catalogue
.
Anyone bought one? What do you think of it and is there anywhere else cheaper to get it?
Thanks muchly.

Re: Anyone have a ready bed?
I paid £25 for an identical noddy one from boots in kingston - have seen them even cheaper - they are having a laugh at gltc. Ella LOVES it in theory - ie to play in - but then has yet to sleep in it - in fact if it is a failure at granny's this weekend it will be going cheap....it could be yours! Last time she played in it and then wanted to sleep in a bed...doh.....

Re: Anyone have a ready bed?
We bought James a Noddy one at Boots at Christmas :D
He LOVES it and has slept in it at least 5 times with little bother. He does make a racket when he rolls about in it (he's a mover in bed) though so it's not great if you have to share a bedroom ;)
I think they're great, though I'm not sure how long he'll be in it - he seems so long for it already

Re: Anyone have a ready bed?
I've got one the next age up (doesn't have the roll bars on the side) and got it for £12.50 from Vertbaudet when they had it on offer - had to buy one item to qualify. I've seen identical ones to mine for £30.
Lex has used it as has a number of friend's children when they have stayed. It's great as it packs away and doesn't take up much room if you need take it away. And I understand it was good when he went camping with DH.
I would say worth getting one if you go away a bit or have other little people staying.

Re: Anyone have a ready bed?
We have one and the main problem is rolling.
The cover is predominantly polyester with a bit of cotton, so I kept Molly in her normal grobag. Every time we've tried it she just rolls off onto the floor and wakes up - the roll bars don't really come up very high.
If they were zipped in though i suppose it wouldn't be a problem - I'm just phobic about polyester and need everything to be cotton. (I have eczema).

Re: Anyone have a ready bed?
Ellie's got one and on the whole it's OK for when her friends stay over or whatever.
The one we have doesn't have the roll bars so unless you push it up against a wall she spends most of the night asleep underneath the airbed bit where she's rolled off it

Re: Anyone have a ready bed?
We've got the Thomas one - was £23.99 from Dunelm Mill. Have also seen them on ebay (brand new) for about £28 incl postage so GLTC are a bit expensive!
We used it when Ryan wasn't well, had it in our room and slept him on it so I could keep a closer eye on him - he was running a temp so didn't want him in with us incase it make him warmer. We plan on taking it on hols in place of a travel cot as it'll take up less room in the car. He slept quite well on it though it can be noisy if you've got a fidgety sleeper!

This is the sort will side holsters to stop toddlers rolling out of bed.
My mum just bought one of these for Elena for her birthday.
