Anyone selling a Brownies uniform for 7-8yo?
Not sure what the uniform sizing is like... she will be almost 8 when she starts in September and is very slim.
Thank you

Re: Anyone selling a Brownies uniform for 7-8yo?
On the official girl guiding uk website they are selling some sizes of the hoody for £10. I got everything 2nd hand and the trousers are good but the t-shirt (long sleeve) quality was appalling. So Im going to get her a new short sleeve t-shirt over the summer. She hasn't been wearing her official brownie t-shirt over the last few weeks and tbh our leader encourages you to wait a while before buying - she also has a swaps/donation box so it might be worth asking yours about that too.

Ohhh, thanks so much for the tips!! She did get Rainbows joggers from the donation box so that's a very good point! xx

Would a 24 inch jacket fit a 7/8 year old? I've no idea what age that relates to!

Re: Anyone selling a Brownies uniform for 7-8yo?
I could sell you some from the Brownie cupboard as we're a bit overstocked for Brownie uniform (but need Rainbow uniform - I can't afford to pay much though!) - I can measure the garments if you like, they tend to shrink lengthways but not widthways so ours are all preshrunk
.
I think the sizes are supposed to be size of child not size of t-shirt/trousers so measure chest or waist, as appropriate.

Re: Anyone selling a Brownies uniform for 7-8yo?
Dd1 will be 8 in november & wears a 26" Brownie hoodie.
It might be worth getting the £10 24" one as they resell for that or more on eBay?
I had to measure dd for a cardi for my mum recently and she was 25".
Eta for the hoody it's chest size according to John Lewis.

Re: Anyone selling a Brownies uniform for 7-8yo?
Thank you both! Cheeky I might risk the 24" as she is so slight, though the ones selling on ebay for 6-8yo are 30-32"!
Dr S I may come back to you on that... might be able to swap Rainbows/Brownie swap?
Now trying to figure what size of leggings I need... I assume most wear long sleeved tops in AW? DD would get very stressed if she had something different from the others!

Ours are a huge mix as there are so many options now. Some have s/s with a hoodie, some l/s with a gilet, or vice versa.
As I say, I can easily measure some bits if you like, and we could well do a swap!

Re: Anyone selling a Brownies uniform for 7-8yo?
I got 2nd hand trousers and they're good quality. Dd1 is skinny and I got 24" waist. She also got given some cycling shorts which are good for the 2wks of sunshine!
I gave up on the LS t-shirt and have been sending her in a variety of her own t-shirts since the summer half term - the shape just got too ridiculous.
