My mum said yesterday she has wanted to say something to me for ages, they were going to give me a cheque on the day but with how things have been the weather as bad as it has etc & OH having loads of time of work which we really hadn't thought would happen seeing as it's our summer they did it now to take some of the stress off us with worrying about

Saving for the wedding
Saving for the winter months
Thinking about the time off work we will both have & making sure everything is all covered without having to dip into savings to much with them not being replenished as quick as what they should be

It's why they did it why they said they weren't helping as they can see how much we have tried & how hard we have been trying to save these past 10 months as well as with everything else going on

They said if they had just given us a cheque back then we wouldn't have been so focused on saving as hard as we have been & would have been more loose with spending our ££££££ when we have really been thinking about these things since booking the wedding in Oct
