Re: Honeymoon The Maldives still undecided
We've been to Florida in September, it rained most days, although it was hot and we did have a few nice days!
How about a 2 centre - say Dubai and Mauritius so you get the best of both worlds? Or New York and Bahamas?
Would you travel as far as Hawaii? Its about 10 hours to LA or San Fran then another 4 to the Hawaiian Islands. You could do Oahu (where Waikii Beach is) for say 4 or 5 days to get your shopping/nightlife fix then teh rest of the time on a different island.
Or... stop in LA or San Fran on the way out, then over to Hawaii or travel the coast(drive or train) from San Fran to La. Possibilities are endless over the West Coast and the weather was amazing when we went in September for our honeymoon.

Re: Honeymoon The Maldives still undecided
We were in Hawaii for a week around mid September and it was about 30-35 degrees, no rain.
When you say Mexico are you thinking Cancun? that is a lot of flying to do Mexico and Dubai as a two centre
You're looking at 10 hours to London to Cancun, then you can't fly direct from Cancun to Dubai, you would have to fly via London or somewhere like Atlanta so that's like 16 hours flying at least... then 6/7 hours back to the UK from Dubai. You need to try and pick 2 places that are roughly on the same side of the world
... or at least the one place is en route to the other ie you could stop in Dubai on the way to Australia.
HTH!

Re: Honeymoon The Maldives still undecided
I think the weather in Hawaii in September is supposed to be nice. I have looked previously as it would be OHs honeymoon choice.
I have been to Miami in September and I only remember one really heavy downpour, the rest of the time we were on the beach (although this was many years ago, so I might only remember the good parts!).
