Wonky teeth
One of DDs bottom teeth is coming in completely on a skew. The tooth that was there before was quite wobbly but helped along when she walked into a piece of wood
I'm wondering if this damaged/pushed the one underneath.
Does anyone know if this will require fixing later? I presume they wouldn't do it until all her second set of teeth are through but also wondered if teeth ever straighten themselves out?

Re: Wonky teeth
DD's were terrible. Apparently every time you talk your tongue and the way your mouth moves push them graudally into position. I was quite worried and the dentist was very reassuring. He's been right with the ones that came through on an angle, they have already significantly improved. Now DD has had no top front teeth at all for 6 months and they have come through with a gap between them. I am trying to work out how her tongue could push those together, but it doesn't seem possible to me.
Anyway, the dentist said lots of talking was good. As if I coudl ever stop her

Re: Wonky teeth
J has two large ones growing in a small gap, and although they are only just visible the dentist said one is likely to grow in "rotated" ie as there's not room for it to be straight. He said to wait and see what happens as she grows, as apparently they all move around a lot, and yes, sometimes they do straighten up

Re: Wonky teeth
Agree with fifi, space is the key. I had shocking teeth as a teenager because my mouth was so crowded; had a few removed and braces for the rest, but my case was particularly bad apparently. If she has space, they can move by themselves. Don't worry!

Re: Wonky teeth
As she grows so will her jaw, and as her adult teeth come in, they may well be space for it to right itself. Don't panic yet!

Re: Wonky teeth
Ok great thanks. I've never had any teeth troubles myself, mine all grew where they were meant to
so was just wondering if they can actually correct themselves! Good to know that it might all fall into place.
