Question about migraine related nausea.
Just wondering if anyone can answer this? If you experience nausea with a migraine are triptans supposed to help with the nausea. It's one of the symptoms that seems to take ages to go, sometimes even after the pain has subsided and I don't really feel like triptans make much difference to the nausea. What do you do?

Re: Question about migraine related nausea.
I've always found that the best thing for nausea with migraines is flat regular Coke. Helps with the actual migraine too...

Re: Question about migraine related nausea.
I use Imigran nasal sprays just for the nausea, you need to go to your GP for it.
Mine start with me feeling sick first off, so I normally use a spray and have a strong coffee with sugar in, and a bar of choc
It sounds mad, but caffeine has pain killing properties, and having low blood sugar levels normally sparks and attack off for me. About 30mins from that I take some codeine and sleeeeeeppppp

Re: Question about migraine related nausea.
Thank you Booh. That's something else I can maybe look into. With the last migraine I had I also experienced seeing white 'floater' type things...I could still see perfectly ok, but I've not experienced that before so I'm not sure if it would have been a type of 'aura' or just one of those things.

Re: Question about migraine related nausea.
Yeah, I get a kind of white floater effect. It's like raindrops sliding down a window ... hard to explain, but that's about the closest I can get. Usually precedes the migraine by about an hour.
Fortunately, although I feel nauseous, I'm rarely sick unless it's a really massive migraine. I used to take Maxalt Melts, which were like a kind of very thin tablet that dissolves on the tongue, but now I find I can keep down the normal imigran tablets. Nasal spray sounds like a good thing.
I've also heard that a good strong dose of caffeine can help to ward off a migraine. Unfortunately, it's the last thing I think I could face if I feel a migraine coming on!

So Pompom, would that be considered aura or visual disturbance or is that something different?

Anyone have a cheaper version of the clarisonic?
