    Sofa beds

Has anyone purchased one recently? Links please and would you recommend it?

Our garage conversion is nearly complete. It is a playroom as I am a childminder. I'd like a comfy sofa but preferably that can be used as a guest bed too.

I'd prefer non-leather but leather might be the more sensible choice since the room is for children.

We have the above one from John Lewis. It was in their clearance section as it was a cancelled order in a made to order fabric. I snapped it up for our playroom as it was such a good price.

I slept on it a few weeks ago when we had friends staying (we gave them our room as they had arrived after a long flight). I slept fine in it but it is obviously no where near as comfortable as a real bed.

    Re: Sofa beds

I am almost too scared to say as last time there was a thread about sofa beds I posted my one and Dr Spouse said it was horrible ...

We have the Beddinge one from Ikea. It is super comfy as it has two really thick mattresses rather than one that folds up inside the sofa, plus a sprung base. And it is full length - my mum nearly bough an M&S one but the mattress seemed really short when I tested it.

I prefer that style as you get a full-sized bed, that looks like a bed rather than a sofa.

Donna, they all look either too loving room or too sofa bed like. I want something in the middle.

Thanks Adele, too many £'s for a playroom though.

Claire, I didn't see anything affordable on John Lewis site but my parents have just said that there were some instore last weekend. I can't get to a store this weekend though.

That's why I like mine. It's in the very small study and is quite simple so doesn't dominate.
