OMG Brazilian injury - WWYD? TMI Alert!!
Deep embarrassment! Had my 1st proper brazilian wax (previous attempt she left the underneath parts pretty much). This time she seemed to go a bit mad waxing the outside ladyparts especially one side. Oddly, in going really mad on one side, the hair removal is not even when you look at it. Where she concentrated on ("I just can't get this one bit off" - repeatedly going over it, pain!) was really sore and swollen and when I got home it hurt to walk and I had to sit on an ice pack for 45 mins. Within the swelling there was a slight lump that wasn't there before (size-wise somewhere between a pea and a marble).
It's still sore and a bit swollen 24 hours on. Slathered that area in sudocrem last night and this morning.
I also happen to be feeling quite ill today and am paranoid she's cause some sort of infection, but I think I have a separate throat infection (I have a temperature/sweats/sort throat/headache).
WWYD? Keep on with sudocrem or something else.

Oh my goodness, poor you! I'm not sure from what you've written whereabouts the lump is - is it somewhere you can examine it or is it in the 'undercarriage' area? It may be an infection or an ingrowing hair - although it seems a bit soon for either of those to have developed so quickly?
If you can't see it yourself, you might have to get your OH or a friend to have a look! If it's infected, it would probably have pus in it which would be easy to see? But hopefully it's just a small tear or similar that will heal fairly quickly. If that doesn't help and you're still in pain over the weekend, then it might have to be a trip to the doctor, I'm afraid...
I have been having Hollywood waxes for a few years now and never, ever experienced anything like this - so I do hope it doesn't put you off entirely....I think you may need to find a new beautician though!
I hope someone can help you out and that you feel better soon.

Oh no! Bless you
If it were me I'd probably keep on with the sudocrem and see how it is by Monday, and if it's still causing problems pop to the docs. But I am terrible for putting off going to the doctor!
Might be worth a trip though for your throat infection if nothing else.
I can't think of anything that might help I'm afraid
Hope you feel lots better soon!

Get to a doc today if possible and get on strong antibiotics if it is indeed an infection. You could end up really poorly if this is left over the weekend. I am assuming you'll never go back to that butcher, sorry, beautician.

Lol - the bump was there straight away so wonder if it is sort of swelling/bruise - on undercarriage! Eek. I might see how it is tomorrow - give it 24 more hours as it is a bit better today. And yes, I think I need a new beautician!! It's hard to know when you haven't any recommendations to go on!! Thanks, ladies!

Ingrown hairs/sebaceous cysts
Ingrown hairs can develop in the vulva, particularly following waxing or shaving. The trend towards Brazilian waxing (where all hair in the vulval region is removed) has made this problem more common. An ingrown hair can result in the development of a pimple or cyst on the skin’s surface. Gentle exfoliation of the skin can help get rid of ingrown hairs. Sebaceous cysts are caused by a blocked sebaceous gland (oil gland in the skin). They commonly occur in the vulva and appear as a small, hard lump which is generally painless. Sebaceous cysts do not require treatment unless they cause discomfort.

Its not this is it? http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Bart...nd-Abscess.htm
As I had it about 10 years ago and it was utterly awful, and I felt so ill. I'm a wax addict, but I'm not sure its related.

Could it develop literally immediately afterwards?

It would have irritated it, if it was there before without you realising it & the waxing would have caused movement I guess.
