Had to share this ad - domestic abuse
I don't know if this has aired on TV or not, I think its a really effective ad, really chilling.

Very effective, made me gulp at the end when she quickly switched off.

Sorry, just seemed like a fake advert to me. Maybe if they hadn't done the "from being shoved against a table" "from rings" and just left it to the audiences imagination as to what caused the injuries. I also just don't 'get' the idea that a victim would be doing some happy jolly vlog on how to conceal your injuries.

It's a play on who she is though, she's famous for her make up tutorials on youtube.

Re: Had to share this ad - domestic abuse
Exactly. I think it's also meant to highlight how many victims of abuse try to make excuses for their behaviour, and act normally, out of either fear or shame.
She's also been the victim of domestic abuse in the past, so it's clearly a very important cause for her to support.
I think it works very well, and is extremely powerful.

Re: Had to share this ad - domestic abuse
I used to be an outreach worker for women's aid and I've always thought there should be more adverts like this out there to get people talking.
Domestic violence is such a complex ordeal to go through that I get the ad completely. Thanks for sharing x
