Re: How long do you spend cleaning your house?
It starts from £10 p/h but there are a number of services on offer so it is a kind of prearranged package iykwim? It started because my mum would come to mine to look after my little ones at my house as I raced off to work, and she would clear up anything I had run out of time to do, so that I didn't return home to any mess

Re: How long do you spend cleaning your house?
Not long enough is probably the answer!
I never do it all at once unless we have people coming over - in which case I will spend all morning blitzing through the house trying to do everything.
I have a vague routing of doing the bathrooms deep clean at the weekend and try and keep on top of the kitchen during the week. Hoovering gets done when the carpets look messy or people coming over.
I feel so much better when the house is clean and tidy but I'm equally lazy so I let it get messy and then just snap and tell DH that I can't cope and we have to do something about this mess!

Re: How long do you spend cleaning your house?
I just do it as and when it needs doing ,I dont clean just for the sake of it and usually have to be in the right mood for a big clean (usually a bad mood

Re: How long do you spend cleaning your house?
Those oven cleaning services are worth it

I do have a cleaner, so most weeks I don't have to do the 'normal' three hour clean (unless she's on holiday or something) but I probably spend an hour or so doing more 'deep cleaning' type of jobs - windows, inside kitchen cupboards, light switches
(the cleaner cleans the bannisters
).

I do a quick whip round every day. Prob spend an hour a day.
DH has massive cleans every so often, so it's him who does all the "deep" cleaning.
He'll spend half a day maybe once a month or something tackling a couple of rooms.
The children also help with the cleaning.
They keep their own rooms sms their bathroom tidy and do some hoovering.

Re: How long do you spend cleaning your house?
i have a 1 bed flat so it only takes me an hour to do the general clean. DH cleans the bathroom, floors and windows as i hate doing them... he does washing and ironing if he has to.
I look at it from this point, we both work full time so we both share the household duties, including all the cooking...
When we get a bigger house, i've offered to pay my aunty to clean..lol! She would love the extra cash every month... She loves ironing which is a boost also!

An hour a day doing the gener washing up/dusting/hoovering/clean the kitchen and then maybe 10 mins a day doing the bathroom. Atm though I tend to do bits throughout the day as and when Lilly has a nap.
