I had a scan today

It showed me at about five and a half weeks pregnant

My lmp was 15th may 2012 and if I had a 28 day cycle, I should be 6 weeks 2 days pregnant.

However, my last cycle was 31/32 days, which means I should be 5 weeks 6 days

There was a sac, and a yolk thing in it. No heartbeat yet.

I can't help bu worry :(. That said, 2 weeks 3 days ago I got a very very light positive. My test lines are now as dark as the control. Over the weekend I got my first clearblue digi back t 3+ weeks

Do you think all sounds ok? I hate early scans but saly have to have them

Congratulations on your pregnancy! i suppose the dating all depends on when you ovulated rather than cycle length? This sort of discrepancy seems to happen quite a lot from that I read on various forums

Their measurements are always up for negotiation and can be plus our minus 5 days either way, so can't see a problem, tbh.

A heartbeat this early? Think you expect to see it later, don't you?

Its always a worry until you see a heartbeat, but they don't sound concerned, so I don't think you should be. Will you be having another scan?

Thanks x yes, another scan in 2 weeks. I had this with my other 3 pregnancies, but they worry me more than they relax me!!!

She said she'd be concerned if I knew for a fact that I'd ovulated on day 14 of a definite 28 day cycle.

Hi greatt84 - the dates sound ok to me - as bubba said there is a degree of wiggle room. Got my fingers crossed for your next scan that you see a nice strong heartbeat
