Earache and swimming?
DD had a cold last week (which she kindly passed on to me
) and, although she's over it, she was awake last night with a bit of earache. OH gave her some kiddy Nurofen and she went back to sleep.
Today there is a swimming gala at school - it's not competitive, just nice for the kids to take part in and the parents to watch - and I decided it should be OK for her to swim. I reckon that even if it does make her earache worse, she really wants to take part, so it's a gamble I'm willing to take.
But, now I'm doubting myself and just wondered what people think?

Re: Earache and swimming?
No, she doesn't
She has so much hair that I don't think we could fit it under a cap anyway! But a good tip and I will get one and see if we can make it work for the future

Re: Earache and swimming?
Probably not much help to you at this late in the day, but for DD (who has had two sets of grommets and has to keep the water out of her ears), we use Putty Buddies ear plugs (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Putty-Buddie...0790164&sr=8-1), and a Zoggs head band to hold them in place (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zoggs-Junior...ef=pd_sim_sg_5).
These work really well at keeping the water out completely, and obviously the head band is less of a problem with long hair.

Ahh sure she will be ok. Hope it goes well and her ears dont hurt afterwards. LiLi idea might be a better one for a girl with longer hair than my son!
