    Re: Disposible Knickers...?

I went for cheap Asda pants 2nd and 3rd time. The Lochia was so different for each birth though, so always buy way more pads than you think you need. Maternity pads have less additives and scents making them less likely to cause an infection and less likely to mask an infection. At least for the first few days after birth I would use those personally as that was the very clear advice I was given by the midwives in 2 different areas. A very nice midwife first time round also showed me how to arrange 2 in my big knickers at once in a diamond shape.

I found maternity pads (sainsburys have ones with wings), far more comfy than highly absorbent ones like always but I think it's different strokes for different folks. It felt like they were absorbing my stiches!
Except it seems disposable knickers - big cheap granny cotton ones all the way. Although I had issues with size after dd2 (csec) & got them too big, my tummy went down quicker than I thought so there was nothing to hold them up and theyd sag down and rub my section wound. So maybe get a choice of 2 sizes.

Another admitting to still having the huge 'disposible' cheapo post birth knickers from Primark in my draw and wearing them on occasion.

I went for cheapy granny pants from primark and have thrown them away. Used them for a few weeks but my lochia is away now so no need for them.

Loving being mummy to the crazy whirlwind that is Toby
