Engagement Ring Alterations
I'm not really sure which forum this should be in, so sorry if its in the wrong one!
I just wondered if any Damsels had had an engagement ring altered before so that it sits flush with their wedding band? I need to get the prongs removed on one side of the centre diamond apparently. However, the jeweller who made the ring has quoted £200 to do this, which seems steep to me!
I just wondered if anybody else had had this done, and if so, am I being overcharged?
TIA!

I've never had that exact thing done, but that does seem very steep
Can you try a different jeweller? We have a small independent one here who has done lots of things for me and it's never been expensive.

Re: Engagement Ring Alterations
Thanks for the replies.
My jeweller is actually an independent, he has his own little workshop. However, it is on Bond St! So that probably explains the price.
I think I may have to have a look around Hatton Garden to compare prices.
