That's so true. For about two years, every lunchtime I ate macaroni cheese and chips. Followed by a kingsize Snickers. (probably a Marathon actually) And I weighed about 7.5 stone.

    Re: What the babysitter ate.

I once babysat for someone who told me she'd got me a cream sponge and to help myself. So I did, to all of it.

I still feel the shame! This thread has made me feel much better.

That's the sort of thing I would have done. Actually still do sometimes (not babysitting though), although more likely to be crisps or cheese and biccies.

Maybe to avoid feeling the "eating them all" shame that Rez still feels about the sponge cake

My 17 year old eats all the time, and is still slight - he must have hollow legs I can remember being the same at that age. I don't eat like that now

    Re: What the babysitter ate.

I remember babysitting at 15 & always use to help myself to food, crisps, chocolate whatever really

When we have a babysitter, I always buy in the big bags of kettle chips & a family size bar of chocolate or packs of maltesers as I know she likes this & always tell her to help herself to food

My babysitter doesn't eat anything despite me saying she can help herself lol! And no I don't think what your babysitter ate was too bad either. I could probably eat double that in one evening!

    I don't think it's a lot, I could do better.

I'm surprised you checked and knew what was missing.

Violet - I didn't "check" as such, it was pretty blimin' obvious from the wrappers/apple core etc and I noticed yesterday when DD asked for a jaffa cake.

I'm amazed that people think its a small amount, I never ate that much, even as a kid, we'd never have been alllowed that much chocolate anyway! And i just didn't want to at 20........

Tekken, no but I lived on a small holding, so we ate our own meat and vegetables, homebaked pies etc and junk food didn't figure AT ALL. I didn't even go inside a Mc Donalds until I was over 20.

She maybe didn't eat it all herself. Her mates and/or boyfriend maybe joined her when you left. I remember my babysitting days!

Not that it is a huge amount.

    Oh yes

Saying that the couple I used to babysit for left me a box of wine to get stuck into after their kids were in bed.
