Did you do your speechs before or after?
Generally do speeches get done before or after the meal? Or does it not matter really??
OH is doing a speech but isnt writing one down he is just going to say it on the day & what ever comes to him. I said to make flash cards up with little bullet points to make sure he says certain things, like Thanks X,Y & Z but he has said no it will make him more nervous. Im surprised he is doing it as he hates stuff like this & gets so embarressed, but im glad he is
Has made me think though about doing a little mini one myself just incase he misses things out.
Did any bride say a little something or just let the groom do it & hope he said what needed to be said?

They always seem to come after the wedding breakfast but before the evening guests arrive.

We had our speeches after food. A glass or 2 of wine and a nice meal helped all concerned to relax!
If you want to say a few words, then why not? I did at mine, wanted to make a special point of thenking certain people and I knew DH would never remember if I asked him

Before the food for us. My Dad, DH and BIL were all dreading it and we wanted them to relax and be able to enjoy their meal without all the nerves getting in the way and making them unable to eat. They all made nice short speeches
and then we got on with the serious business of getting sloshed and dancing the night away
