    OMG a climber

God i am not use to this we had none of this with Alfie but Zach is a nightmare he has been since 9 months old

First off it was mastering the beds
Then climbing onto the loo in the bathroom, onto the sink then onto the window seal
Climbing the sofas then into the front room window
Climbing onto the laundry basket & into his bedroom window seal
Climbing the dinning room chair & onto the table
    Climbing out his highchair
Holding onto the kitchen unti worktops & trying to climb up the units

Its a bloody nightmare everytime he is on the sofa i take him off, climbing the dinning room chairs, the amount of times i have caught him standing on the window seal banging the windows, sitting on the dinning room table

I say no, take him away but he just keeps going back i feel like im a broken record that for the last 5 months has just been saying the same thing over & over again

I have one as well, he started young and had (and has) no fear! When he was about 18m I caught him standing on the edge of his cot switching the light on and off, and when we went on holiday about the same time he'd climb up in to the top bunk and shout "1...2...3" cause he was wanting to jump off in to his travel cot. My heart was in my mouth all the time! However I am used to it now, and he has got better at it so its less scary. Other people look on in horror at what I let him do, but what else can I do? I just smile and say he;s fine, which he generally is, its me who is always falling over and having accidents!

Not just boys-my 15 month old daughter is definitely the same. She spent much of yesterday at Bowood screaming in protest-as I would not let her climb the commando netting!

With Conor I had (still do) my heart in my mouth most of the time. You name it. he'll try and scale it. he's only just got out of the habit of climbing the lampost at the end of the footpath on the way home from school. He'd run down, climb up and cling on at the very top waiting for me.

I'll never forget nipping out to the garage and seeing him at 18mths climbing onto the windowsill, standing up and waving happily!

A friend's little boy was a big climber. When he was about 18 months he figured out if he pulled the drawers out a little bit he could use them as steps to climb to the hobs and dismantle them!

Mofffal does Conor climb to the top of a lamp post? If so, holy moly!

I thought my 12 month old was a monkey for tipping himself out of his cot but he needs to step it up if he is going to keep up with the little ones on this thread! Love it! I know children wear us down but its great how fearless and adventurous they are.

MG this is how I saw Zach sat. I'd nipped to the car was coming back & he was stood on the window seal in front of the blinds banging on the window & babbling

I have one of those too. She could climb before she could walk. I always said it must have been because she's called Ivy! She still climbs now

    He's such a cutie CH

Claireh, not a proper lampost, it's the footpath sign at the end of the path, so about half the size. Bet he would do a whole lampost given the chance!
