No, it wasn't that one as I've been there years ago to watch the RAC rally.

Sherwood Pines or Sherwood Hideaway? (That's it... I'm out of ideas now!)

My Dad has looked at his map. It might have been Rufford Abbey that we passed.
Does anyone know if it is any good for children there? Or what the cafes are like?

Re: Park near to Sherwood Center Parcs?
Rufford is nice. There's a good play area, a pleasant and not very long walk around the lake with a bridge over a road ford halfway which is fun to watch cars making huge splashes. The cafe is reasonable, not expensive but nothing special.
Sherwood Pines is close too, and the play areas there are amazing. We were there this afternoon, cycling. Cafe similar to Rufford.

Thanks, is either cafe alright for lunch? We're going tomorrow. We'll go to whichever is better for food.

I'd say Rufford cafe is probably better. The cake's nicer there

Thanks. The Sherwood Pines one looks similar to Fineshade Woods that we visit regularly. They are both Forestry Commission sites.

We were at Rufford today, it was really nice. A lot of the things looked very new eg in the children's garden.
Our children enjoyed it, all very simple but fun. Thanks!

We went to Sherwood Pines today. We only managed to have lunch and go to the park nearest the cafe before it rained. The childlren loved it and said they prefered it to Rufford Abbey.
They bought Robin Hood bows and arrows. They'd seen them at Center Parca but were 50% cheaper here.

Mr jj has taken William mountain biking at Sherwood Pines today. It's a great place for children
