Re: Girls names musing
Katy and Sophie are both much of a muchness. Both very similar and nice names. Either, or, I say. See what she looks like when she comes out!

I'm Helen Louise, which I like. Goes together well and quite timeless.

Re: Girls names musing
I like both

I think I prefer Sophie because it is a 'full name' and not a shortening but thats probably just me being strange....

Re: Girls names musing
Thanks all. 8 for Sophie and 7 for Katie.
We wouldnt name until we saw baby anyway.
Hmm I dont like (personally) sorry Katherine so it would be Katie. Im not fussed about being a top 100 name or even top 10 TBH. Thats not a concern for me.
I also now like Aimee. Its probs. a boy after all this

Re: Girls names musing
I don't like Katie sorry - sounds too babyish as an adult plus I knew a girl who insisted on being called Katie and was all coquetish and it drove me nuts! I like Kate though but it will be so popular because of the Duchess of Cambridge which would personally put me off a lot.
Sophie is a nice name and it would go nicely with Louise but I do love Evisolas suggestion of Hannah - I really like that and it isn't so well used.

Wont be Hannah
Although nice name I work with someone called Hannah, so its a no here.
Name choosing is hard! I guess, though, whatever you go with, not everyone will like it. Thats just life.

You're telling me! Especially when it's number 6 and all favourite names have been used!!

I had no choice with DS's name so have never had to do the name choosing thing - still a bit gutted about it actually, even 9 years on.
The most important thing, is that you are going to be happy with the name you choose, everyone else is just irrelevant really as we are all going to like/dislike different things.
