Re: Q about pubes, midwives and c-sections
I had an emergency c-sec for dd2 & got the dry bid treatment. With dd1 I'd used a trimmer to trim down there but it was awkward so wasn't exactly perfectly neat.
I spoke to a retired midwife once about tears and management of them and with experiences midwives, they can see the "buttoning" which happens before the tear. So in my head I've interprettwd that to mean a smooth hair free undercarriage might be helpful.

Re: Q about pubes, midwives and c-sections
I was under the impression that my Csection on Monday would involve a dry shave
. I really didn't fancy this so had a bikini wax last Saturday- bejeezus did it hurt! The beauty lady was almost crying for me wincing.
I just got her to tidy up the straggly side bits and whip a strip across the top. OUCH!!!!!!!!! I then went home a trimmed the rest in the mirror to reduce the hair amount
Quite glad I did this though as the stitches are in that top waxed area

Re: Q about pubes, midwives and c-sections
I used hair removal cream, very crudely smeared it across the top and both sides, made me feel slightly better about the whole process.
