Re: January/February 2013 mums
probably a good idea twirly. How are you doing? is it still just the two of us?
I'm ten weeks today and feeling ok. Himself came to pick me up from work but he was early and instead of going into the computer shop he went into Mothercare
We had a look at prams and pushchairs but I got a bit overwhelmed

Hi, yeah I'm fine, just really tired. I don't dare sit down for too long in case I fall asleep. Actually most days I have a little doze if I can, though not at work obviously! I've got 2 long days thurs and fri at work, 07.30-20.15 not sure how I'll survive!
Yeah still just the 2 of us, there is someone else who has announced being pregnant who I suspect might be due in Feb but she's posting under a secret name like you too!
Oh yes prams are overwhelming! There are lots of damsel experts though when you're ready to research. We've still got the silvercross pram from when ruby was a baby and the maclaren pushchair Thomas is still using.

Re: January/February 2013 mums
I'm guessing I'll be joining in here then - Hello!
Have realised that I was eating chips with ketchup last week (don't normally like chips and hate ketchup) so should have guessed something was going on
Have you seen GP and started booking in for scans etc yet? I'll call my GP in the morning, if nothing else, I need to get my thyroid meds increased - and hope that the fab consultant we had last time has not retired
I know I'm really jumping ahead here but this will be c-section No 3! They told me last time that they don't like to do more than 2. Ooops!
Sorry for brain dump

Hi Helcatt!
Yay! I'm 8 weeks tomorrow. Had booking in appointment already and had appointment through for my scan although I'm going to have to change it as I'm working the night before.
How many weeks do you think you are? I'm on thyroxine too, were you on it when you were pregnant before? How early on was your dose increased? I'm waiting for a consultant appointment to monitor my thyroxine requirements.

Re: January/February 2013 mums
hi Helcatt, nice to see you here!
I'm 11 weeks on Tuesday, had my booking in appointment two weeks ago and was told I'd get my scan date in the post but haven't had anything yet. I think I might phone them if nothing arrives tomorrow. I don't want to be a pain in the arse but I would like a wee bit of notice.
A friend of mine had 3 sections and she was fine so I'm sure you'll be grand.
I've been feeling rough as anything all week which is quite odd as I was fine for the first 10 weeks?!? I'm finding eating little and often usually helps but not always

Re: January/February 2013 mums
Thyroxine is a strange one
With DD2, they upped the dose straight away and monitored all the way through, with DD3, they waited until bloods showed that it needed upping later on in pg
Who knows what they will do this time
Well, if we go by LMP, it makes me 8 weeks
But my cycles are longer, usually so a rough guess would be 4+4
Either way, delivery at 37 weeks, I should think, so likely to be end of Jan baby, if all goes to plan
Though dh thinks that his expertise on the
front indicates I am further along than I think. But I had a BFN about 10 days ago - not that that means much seeing as they were so out of date but........
All vague and up in the air
And I think we are still in shock, plus grinning like cheshire cats
Dh is now feeling vindicated on the not wanting to go down the fertility treatment route again too

Re: January/February 2013 mums
Just checked on Fertility friend and it worked out (if my guess at ov is correct) that am due on the 27th of feb, or there abouts
so, anywhere between the 4th and 27th then - thats concise, must stop rambling and get some sleep, start work at 7:30
Seeing Chiropractor after work, should I tell him? And then planning a swim after. Was going to do the Legs Bums and Tums class but think hat might be a bit much, though I was doing really well last week

Re: January/February 2013 mums
I'd tell the Chiropractor Helcatt, just to be on the safe side. Legs bums and tums sounds a bit strenuous to me but if you're used to it I guess it'd be fine.
I'm 11 weeks today
I phoned to find out about my scan and apparently it's on Monday!! Nothing like getting a bit of notice, letter will probably turn up on Saturday
Feeling rough again today and have a sore tongue
Don't know if it's pregnancy related or not but it's annoying. Suspect it's probably something to do with all the fruit I'm eating?

Re: January/February 2013 mums
I did tell the chiro in the end. Only person I have told, apart from on here
I remembered the other reason that I started wondering and did a test. I changed my diet in April and have lost over a stone. One of the changes has meant that going to the toilet has been much more regular, the last few weeks, I have not - I always end up constipated, how ever carefully I eat
And my left ovary hurts
Apart from brain fuzz, all good here. I think that is more to do with my brain keep wandering back to the subject, rather than hormones effecting how I remember things etc
I have an appt with the GP tomorrow afternoon
I don't even have a clue about dates but am already jumping ahead and working out when I might take time off etc, when I'll stop work, how we make sure dh gets paternity pay etc etc
Insane. I swore dh to secrecy after he has let the cat out of the bag early on all previous occasions. I hit 40 this year, he'll be 42 and I just want to make sure scans etc are all over before we talk to people, make sure all is well
I know last time they said that they don't generally do early dating scans, wonder if they will this time as dates are so vague or if they'll just go with LMP and re-scan after if earlier than expected.....
Ramble ramble - sorry

Re: January/February 2013 mums
9th of July is not far off, wow!
I saw the gp yesterday. My blood pressure is high, so got to go back in two Weeks to get it checked again, the gp surgery were rubbish for booking in bloods, would have been a 2 week wait so they suggested I go to the hospital, which will do on Friday morning
So, referral made to hospital, just have to wait for ante natal team to get in touch. I asked if I can be under the same consultant as last time, she was great!
Gp said to go with LMP and get a scan sooner, then can adjust dates after scan
I have rambled again, I promise, I will stop the brain dump soon.

Re: January/February 2013 mums
Hi ladies!
Sorry I've not been around, I worked Mon and Tues nights so been busy!
I bought maternity bras this morning, was getting really uncomfortable in my underwires. I've got my scan appointment changed to the 25th July, so just under 4 weeks. I'm going to be so impatient! Still waiting for my consultant appointment too.
Sorry about your bp Helcatt, has it been high before?
Welcome ictoau, our group is getting bigger!

Re: January/February 2013 mums
She checked against past results, last one was from 2008, I an not good with what it all means but she said the low number was about the same as previous, higher than she would like, but not too stories as its the same but the top number was higher, so 144 over 93
I heard a woman talking in the park today, she is due on 17th if Feb. I have to say, I was shocked she was talking so openly about it so early, most people keep quiet until the first scan
She was planning in her c section date already
I bet my scan apt will be for when we are on holiday

Re: January/February 2013 mums
Twirly I know what you mean about being impatient for the scan just over a week for me to wait and it feels like forever I go through stages of feeling excited and then feeling nervous I just want to get it over with and see that everything is fine.
Good luck today at the hospital Helcat x
And hope your letter arrives today Laundry x

in the laundry basket, that made me chuckle! I suppose I'll need to out myself but I've quite enjoyed the anonymity, will see how it goes on Monday and then decide.
