    We have a Wusthof knife set - wedding present that we've used every day for the last 16 years. Handwashed too

    ETA I did a general Amazon link as there are different ones and sets - the three piece set for £144 looks good if you could add a bread knife.

    I quite like Henckel knives, this set is about £150 down from £300+

    I really love my Tojiro Senkou knives, they're lush and made from 67 layers of folded steel, like a Samurai sword but they are more expensive.
