Bluebabe mentioned the cost of alcohol. I think I'd grudge the cost of buying alcohol free beer/lager. I like tonic and ice/lemon, it tastes almost alcoholic so I don't miss the gin/vodka too much. Probably because I drown my spirits with the mixer anyway, no good if you like to taste the booze.

my drinking habits were not good in my late teens and twenties. Since having the kids I have about 1 glass wine per fortnight and depsite feeling a bit 'boring' and getting peer and social pressure to drink more, I feel so much healthier and fresh, plus I did too many stupid things under the influence
so you can change your habits - keep going
